Although I have never received any formal training, I have successfully transitioned from drawing with charcoal and graphite to painting, albeit still very amateurish!
By using acrylics, which are very forgiving, I paint for the challenge and the fun of it, not to earn dollars!
My chosen subjects vary widely, from the whimsical and frivolous to seascapes and landscapes.
Early on, I found that Art directed towards children attracts sales from all generations.
I compare artwork to gardening; you become engrossed with the task and think of nothing else, and stress does not enter the equation.
