British Columbia has always been my home, although I spent time travelling in Canada and Europe.
I studied at Simon Fraser University and worked there until retirement at which time we left Port Moody to reside on Gabriola Island. After some time there we relocated to the seaside town of Crofton in the lovely Cowichan Valley on Vancouver Island.
I did not seriously paint until later in life although I was always interested and inspired by the art of others. My learning came by taking workshops from artists I admired, studying art books and attending art shows and museums.
I am an Active member of the Federation of Canadian Artists and every Wednesday paint with the Crofton Art Group. Both of these groups have been most helpful and encouraging in my art journey.
